Redflame wins WIFT award

At the annual WIFT (Women In Film & Television) Awards on 6 August, Redflame Media was named the winner of the MindFood Greening the Screen award. In presenting the award WIFT noted the outstanding success of Redflame series HomeSick in bringing eco-friendly home and lifestyle practices to widespread public attention.

Sad farewell to Jesse Young

It was with great shock and sadness that we learned of the death of 20-year-old Jesse Young, who appeared in the programme Redemption Hill at the age of 16. Jesse's death was a tragic accident - hit by a car on a dark country road. Redflame managing director Glenn Sims and head of production Sage Haggart were both honoured to attend Jesse's funeral at the invitation of his family.

The show, where a leading dietician and vet tackle both porky pets and their couch potato owners around New Zealand, was picked up by Discovery Channel's Animal Planet in the UK and Germany.
