Redflame wins WIFT award

At the annual WIFT (Women In Film & Television) Awards on 6 August, Redflame Media was named the winner of the MindFood Greening the Screen award. In presenting the award WIFT noted the outstanding success of Redflame series HomeSick in bringing eco-friendly home and lifestyle practices to widespread public attention.

Sad farewell to Jesse Young

It was with great shock and sadness that we learned of the death of 20-year-old Jesse Young, who appeared in the programme Redemption Hill at the age of 16. Jesse's death was a tragic accident - hit by a car on a dark country road. Redflame managing director Glenn Sims and head of production Sage Haggart were both honoured to attend Jesse's funeral at the invitation of his family.

The diet show with a difference, Even My Pet's A Porker, has been picked up by the Discovery Channel and is going global. The show, where a leading dietician and vet tackle both porky pets and their couch potato owners around New Zealand, was picked up by Discovery Channel's Animal Planet in the UK and Germany.
